The Indiana University Ice Hockey Team will kick off the new 12/13 season in late August, when the participating players will go through the tryouts starting on Friday, 08-24-2012.
The ACHA D1 Team will organize the "Callout" meeting, on Wednesday, August 22, where all information needed will be provided to the participants of the hockey tryout for the upcoming season. All participants are encouraged to attend the meeting, as much of the instruction will be presented, and the final tryout roster finalized before the first "official" on-ice session.
The tryouts will include on-ice sessions as well as fitness testing and dryland sessions for the duration of one week. The official season roster should be finalized within 10 days after the start of the tryouts.
IU Hockey Team will open their season on September 21 & 22, in Pennsylvania, when they match up against the University of Pittsburgh. The official 12/13 Schedule will be released in the upcoming days.
There is plenty to be excited about, as the new recruiting class should provide more than enough competitiveness and a battle for the roster spots. There are many strong newcomers who will be looking to fill every roster position, and the specific prospective players will be introduced in the upcoming days and weeks.
